I'm Julia Bulok. I wrote the Pet First Aid Library because a Chihuahua and a Great Dane are not the same animal, and most pet first aid books treat them as if they were. I'm not a veterinarian. I'm a dog owner who has been the panicked one at eleven at night with a dog who wouldn't settle, wouldn't lie down, and kept trying to be sick with nothing coming up — and the patient one across many years of living with dogs of very different sizes.
