Compass Press is a small independent book publisher. We try to collect as little personal information as possible, and we only use what we do collect to answer your messages and operate this website. This policy explains what that looks like in practice.

Email correspondenceWhen you write to one of our addresses (hello@compass-press.com, julia.bulok@compass-press.com, or press@compass-press.com), we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message.

Website dataThis site is a static informational page. We do not run analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, user-agent) for security and reliability purposes, and these logs are retained for a short period before being discarded.

CookiesCompass Press does not set cookies on this site.

We use your email and the contents of your message only to reply to you and, if relevant, to continue the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit request, and we do not share your message with anyone outside Compass Press except where required to deliver your reply (for example, our email provider).

When our newsletter and independent ebook store launch, they will have their own clearly described sign-up flow and a separate, more detailed privacy notice covering subscriber data, purchase records, and payment processing. Until then, no such data is collected through this site.

Email is handled through a reputable provider with transport-layer encryption. We limit access to correspondence to the people who need it to reply. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

You may ask us at any time to confirm what correspondence we hold from you, to correct it, or to delete it. Send your request to hello@compass-press.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, typically within five business days.

This website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy as Compass Press grows — for example, when the newsletter or ebook store opens. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
